As a spiritual companion, I practice nonjudgmental listening and reflection, helping you to trust your inner wisdom as you explore the sacred currents flowing through your story.
Meet Wendy Mospan
I accompany people whose spiritual paths and perspectives find shape in a world infused with depth, beauty, grief, and joy. I listen mindfully — that is, with nonjudgmental, balanced awareness — and am sensitive to the interconnection and sacredness of life. It is a gift to be with others who are exploring their sacred stories and encountering divine markers along the way. I celebrate diversity and welcome all people on a spiritual path.
I hold a master of divinity from Loyola University Chicago. I served for 15 years as a professional pastoral minister specializing in adult faith formation in Chicago-area churches. In 2017, I earned my certificate in spiritual direction from Hesychia School, a contemplative interfaith training program in Tucson, Arizona. I facilitate retreats, workshops and small groups across the metro Chicago area and online.
Having experienced grounded compassion as a deep, practical portal for opening to soul, I’ve been certified in Compassion-Based Soul Care for spiritual directors taught by Frank Rogers. I am a certified facilitator and a former director of Boundless Compassion, founded by Joyce Rupp. I have also completed Compassion Cultivation Training, Compassion-Based Resilience Training, Compassion Integrity Training, and G.R.A.C.E. Training with Roshi Joan Halifax.
I am a member of Spiritual Directors International and adhere to the group’s standards of professional ethics. I am committed to reverence for the dignity, equality, rights, and gifts of all people.
Special areas of interest include contemplative practices, self-compassion, grief, trauma recovery, Christian spirituality, inter-spirituality, and our living connection with the natural world.
